For me… a second trip.. but this time I got off the boat… Crazy hot… did some shopping at the market… still no elephant pants for my family We did buy some stuff… Nancy is very good at haggling!!! So today begins my birthday celebration... I believe its is 39 hours of celebration from midnight my time ... to midnight CA time :) What a way to start my birthday!! Nancy treated me to a lovely breakfast of steak and eggs and champagne and mimosas! The Reverie Hotel was amazing !!! Here are some photos of the common spaces… Then back to the boat... Balloons and Champagne compliments of Sajeer and team... leisurely afternoon and a little day drinking... Wonderful gift from Nancy.. eggshell inlaid coasters to compliment my art piece (again you’ll need to visit :)) Then a fabulous birthday dinner - complete with 'singing and cake'. Nancy thanks for making it special!!! Love to all my friends and family… I’m one lucky gal!!!

Thanks to my German friends Conny and Josef - for recommending our hotel and tour guide in Saigon!!! What a great adventure. So our tour guide Mr. Cong… was actually 12… ok not really but very young… Our adventure was part young person’s view (our guide), history lecture, food adventure, and fabulous hotel. Let’s get it kicked off. 2 groovy chicks in front of Independence Palace… Site of the fall of Saigon It is now called the Reunification Convention Hall Very serious about the Feng Shui… Nancy and I thought the chairs were uber cool….but They paled in comparison to the inlaid art work… Stunning Of course Nancy and I gravitated towards this as our guide called it A ‘painted wall’ (he didn’t seem a fan) Their version of a rumpus room :) Again… cool 60s vibe These windows were supposed to mimic bamboo They were very cool Then it was off to lunch sitting at a local cafe where we ordered drinks… and our guide had Banh-mi delivered on the back of a scooter… delicious!! I’m in heaven… well the temperature feels like hell… but I love Singapore… and now so does Nancy! Here is the push-me pull-you tug boats helping us dock. Very cool to watch… first push me… Then pull you… We got through immigration with no hassles and walked around VivoCity until our guide Alvin was schedule to meet us.
